4D Backup is an application that can operate independently, without any other 4D Wand modules.

4D Backup provides:

• simplicity of data restoration in case of a system failure
• saving to multiple locations (we recommend that at least one location is physically separate, e.g., a USB stick or a disk carried outside the workplace)
• backup of other data, not only 4D Wand data
• precise definition of what is backed up, from individual files and directories to entire disks
• generation-based data backup, supporting up to 99 generations
• automatic warnings when backups have not been created
• possibility for automation

Creating backups is the responsibility of the 4D Wand user. Whether they use our solution or another one is not important. What is crucial is that a backup exists in case of a failure. Unfortunately, the value of backup data is only realized when it is lost.A prerequisite for a correct backup is that all 4D Wand users are logged out of the application at the moment the backup is created.
