4D POS
Why 4D POS?
Wand is a modern, integrated information system for small and medium-sized enterprises, using a user-friendly graphical interface for any version of Windows, while its speed and operational security are ensured thanks to its 32-bit program architecture. The 4D WAND system is built modularly. Each of the modules can be used either integrally or individually, and the 4D POS cash register (or PC cash register, POS register, cash register software…) is one of these modules. Its usage is possible in direct connection between the POS cash register and the Retail module (online), as well as independently (offline), i.e., without a direct connection to the headquarters. The prerequisite for using the 4D POS cash register is ownership of a licence for the Retail module, which is essentially a complete retail software package.
The 4D POS cash register ensures a fast, simple and secure method of issuing invoices and monitoring sales (goods and/or services) at points of sale, including full compliance with all legal fiscalisation requirements, with support for combining payment methods, installment sales, issuing R1 invoices, VAT refund for exported goods, using the loyalty program… etc. At any time, the cash register status and performance per employee are known.
What 4D POS cash register users can do:
- when selling, search the item database by name, second name, third name, catalogue number, barcode
- issue a fiscalised invoice (or R1 invoice) with all company and point-of-sale data, including all legally required elements
- settle an invoice using any means of payment or a combination of payment methods, and calculate installment plans where applicable
- print the invoice on a small or large printer depending on initial settings
- reprint any invoice afterwards
- before processing (closing) the invoice, modify quantity, price, discount… for each line item
- cancel an issued invoice if within the current daily turnover
- process goods returns
- create VAT refund documentation for exported goods
- enter and track serial numbers to ensure that returned goods are indeed those originally sold
- sell a product for which a work order will later be created, in order to track stock and value of the components from which the product is assembled
- print more than 20 daily turnover summaries (for a day, period…, by goods/services, payment methods, by employees, etc.)
- print denomination breakdowns which facilitate deposit tracking
- define messages displayed on the customer-facing display
- define a user registry with more than 30 access rights, thus determining who can do what in the 4D POS cash register and establishing prerequisites for personnel differentiation in accordance with assigned authorisations
What 4D POS cash register users cannot do:
- delete invoice(s)
- add new items or services
- receive new goods into stock
