Address Book
The Address Book module is a standalone software solution, and can therefore also be used by companies that do not have other modules of the 4D Wand software system installed. The Address Book is the foundation of the other modules of the 4D Wand software system, which means that within the other modules no partner, nor any of their related data, is ever entered twice. The Address Book is available at any moment and from anywhere while working in 4D Wand. This means that, for example, if you are creating a quotation and are currently considering what price to offer to a partner, you can open the Address Book without leaving the active operation. We like to emphasize that the Address Book is the only module that can exist independently, while all other modules are dependent on it.
The possibilities of the Address Book module are extensive. Our partners use it far more broadly than we originally envisioned. You enter your business partners into the Address Book, regardless of whether they are customers, suppliers, manufacturers, or anything else. 4D Wand “decides” what these partners become throughout your cooperation. For example, if you create a goods receipt, the selected partner will automatically be marked as a supplier.
For each business partner, it is possible to enter:

Notes… where all information considered important for that partner is entered if not covered by other fields. Through parameters, it is possible to set that whenever a partner is selected, their note is displayed first.
Each partner can contain an unlimited number of employees, and for each employee an unlimited number of communication devices can be defined, such as: telephone, fax, modem, telex, satellite phone, GSM, mobile phone, toll-free number, etc.
From within the Address Book module, you can print envelopes, name-and-address labels, view who has a birthday within a selected period, send an email or bulk emails, visit the partner’s website, associate a partner with their (your) archived documentation, search partners by surname, name, nickname, title, phone number, notes, etc. Partners can be grouped, assigned limits… and so on.
